PPG Agenda Items/Minutes
Minutes From Last Meeting
Jo told the meeting that the Total Triage System is working after some initial ‘teething’ problems. She advised that there is a link to a tutorial on the Practice website and that staff are assisting patients both in the Practice and over the phone where necessary to complete the online form. Jo noted that the number of calls to the Practice has declined; however, the length of the calls received has increased and was at times causing a backlog on the telephones. Generally patients feedback regarding Total Triage is positive.
Jo advised that unfortunately, due to family commitments, the newly appointed Advanced Clinical Practitioner was leaving the Practice.
Practice Manager Updates
Jo told the meeting that the Practice has advertised a vacancy for a new GP.
There was discussion regarding PPG members becoming involved in projects to help improve the Practice. Discussion took place regarding PPG members going in to the Practice to conduct a survey with patients. The survey would include patients’ experience with the Total Triage system and possibly identifying patients who are carers within the Practice. Some members are willing to volunteer and it was agreed that Jo would look in to the way forward. Jo highlighted that there are very few carers known to the Practice and the carers could be any age providing care at home for loved ones. There are forms available on the reception in the Practice for carers to complete to register their role.
Time and Date of Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 1st July 2026 at 6pm.
The Meeting closed at 1.37pm.
