Late Appointment Policy (patient information)

Please arrive on time for your appointment. Arriving promptly helps us run clinics smoothly and ensures fairness for all patients.

  • If you arrive less than 10 minutes late, we will book you in, but you may need to wait longer as patients who arrived on time will be seen first.
  • If you arrive 10 minutes or more late, your appointment will be considered missed, and you will need to rebook.

If you believe you need to be seen urgently, please speak to reception, who will assess this in line with our emergency appointment policy.

Calling ahead to say you will be late does not change this policy.

Please note that, due to the nature of GP work, clinicians may sometimes run late. When this happens, our reception team will keep patients informed and apologise for any delay.
