Advanced Nurse Practitioner

I have been an Advanced Clinical practitioner for 12 years at Padiham. Before this role I was a Practice Nurse for 10 years. I can see patients with undiagnosed health problems such as infections, viral illness, painful joints or more generalised illness as long as they are older than 8 weeks. As an ACP I am able to examine, diagnose, order blood and radiological tests, prescribe, refer and complete fit notes for patients. I am also involved in women’s health for contraception, smear tests and HRT. My special areas of interest mean I see patients with learning Disabilities for health checks every year.
